"By exposing our children to the arts, we are teaching them in ways that flash cards and textbooks cannot. The arts teach us how to think creatively and give our brains license to search for color where others might see black-and-white, or to create music when others might stay silent. These are the qualities of leaders and of visionaries." — Jane Chu, Chairman, National Endowment for the Arts
Bucks AIR, a non-profit registered 501c3 organization, is dedicated to fulfilling its mission of exposing children to the arts by bringing professional visual, performing and literary artists to regional schools. We recognize the importance of art in children's lives. Exposure to the arts improves a child’s ability to think, express themselves and succeed academically. This exposure to the arts will lay the foundation for the next generation of artists, musicians and writers - in a sense, the next generation of leaders and visionaries.
